Lenses
f/4 is the lighter, more travel-friendly alternative to f/2.8. You give up a stop of light and a bit of background blur; you gain a smaller barrel, lower price, and a lens you can carry all day.
Our f/4 collection currently features two Canon 70-200mm options: the EF 70-200mm f/4 USM for DSLR and adapted-mirrorless bodies, and the compact Canon RF 70-200mm L for RF-mount cameras. Both sit in the classic event, portrait, and sports range — long enough to isolate a subject, short enough for ceremonies, sidelines, and travel without a monopod on every shot.
Choose EF if you’re on a DSLR or using an adapter. Choose RF if you’re already on Canon’s mirrorless system and want the smaller L-series zoom. If you shoot mostly indoors or need maximum subject separation, step up to f/2.8. If you want more reach than 200mm, look at telephoto and super-telephoto pages.
Every lens is independently tested and reader-supported — never sponsored.
