Best 20–35mm Lenses

20–35mm is wide-to-normal territory: landscapes, architecture, interiors, street, and environmental portraits where you want more of the room or the horizon in the frame.

On full-frame, 20–24mm feels distinctly wide; 28–35mm is the classic documentary and street view. On APS-C and Micro Four Thirds the same numbers look tighter, so a 20mm crop lens is closer to a “normal-wide” than an ultra-wide. Distortion, corner sharpness, and flare control matter more here than they do at 85mm.
