We started this because we were tired.

Tired of rented review units and glowing first impressions. Tired of spec sheets standing in for experience. Tired of opening a "best lens" article and realizing the writer had never actually photographed anything real with any of them.

Gear For Shooters exists for one reason: to give photographers the kind of review we wish we had — written after weeks of real use, in real conditions, by someone who shoots the same kind of work you do.

We're not the biggest site out there. We don't publish daily news. We're not chasing clicks. What we do publish, we stand behind — because our name is on it, and because the people reading it are people like us.
